Crunch Time!

The game industry operates at two unique paces: slow-as-hell and OMG-OMG-OMG!!! We call this lovely period of unfettered overtime and endless pizza “crunch time.” Meeting deadlines and shipdates is all well and good, but crunch has become such a pervasive, assumed part of the industry that when people aren’t forced at gunpoint to get things done… well… they just don’t. It’s all part of the endless cycle that is crunch, which as you might have guessed will be a reoccurring theme around here. ![]()

Hey guys, I just wanted to congratulate you on getting the comic up and running. Being a student of game design in the ever exploding game development scene in Raleigh NC, it’s nice to read a webcomic thats coming from a perspective that I am beginning to gain. Keep on fighting the good fight!
